International flights: a name change will be allowed only by paying an additional charge no later than 15 days before flight departure; this service is not available for tickets purchased at Brazil Point of Sale and using a compensation voucher.
Flights within Mexico: a name change will be allowed only by paying an additional charge no later than 3 hours days before flight departure; this service is not available for tickets purchased at Brazil Point of Sale and tickets originally paid for with a Travel Voucher /EMD Compensation.
Name corrections: Corrections are allowed at no additional charge in case the passenger's name has a spelling mistake. To make the adjustment, a government-issued document must be presented.
*Changes must be made at least 3 hours prior to the flight departure. If within that time you do not report any change, no changes can be made, except if you purchased a flexible fare. If you missed your flight (no show) and did not report it, your ticket will be cancelled (additional complements plus taxes included). For the subsequent stretches to the unused segment, you must contact our call center within 24 hours after your first segment, so that you can use the remaining segment.
**Starting on January 1, 2022, accumulate 8 Aeromexico Rewards Points for every dollar spent or its equivalent in Mexican currency. Accumulable Base Aeromexico Rewards Points are the dollar-base rate (Total Ticket Price – taxes and fees) for 8 points. For flights operated by other airlines, Accumulable Base Aeromexico Rewards Points are the actual distance between the pair of cities adjusted by the accumulation percentage according to the rate paid. Minimum accumulation for distances under 1000 km is 1000 Aeromexico Rewards Points; for greater distances, the actual distance is used.
This rate family applies on some flights for the following routes:
Ciudad del Carmen, Aguascalientes, Bajío, Mazatlan, Tapachula, Torreon, Mexicali, Ciudad Juárez, Cancún, Chihuahua, Hermosillo, La Paz, Mérida, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Villahermosa, Chetumal, Monterrey (departing from Felipe Angeles International Airport), Guadalajara (departing from Felipe Angeles International Airport) and Cancun (departing from Felipe Angeles International Airport). Occasionally the following routes may operate: Campeche, Culiacán, Guadalajara, Oaxaca, Tijuana y Monterrey.
If you accept additional flexibility, you will be changing to a Classic Flex Fare, enjoying unlimited changes (flight, date, time, destination). No-Show charges do not apply and you may be refunded with electronic vouchers (EMD). ***This benefit applies only when booking. Changes are subject to availability and a fare difference may apply.

FLEXIBLE FARE CONDITIONS

You will enjoy unlimited changes (flight, date, time, destination), no charge applicable for No show, and you will be able to get a reimbursement depending on your date of purchase:
Tickets purchased starting on December 13, 2021 are not refundable if you fail to show up to your flight (No Show); you may only reschedule your flight. Changes are subject to availability and rate differences may apply.
Tickets purchased before December 21, 2021 are refundable as an electronic voucher (EMD).
For tickets purchased starting on December 2021, you may choose your refund—either:
- 1) As an electronic voucher (EMD).
- 2) Through your original method of payment: if you choose to be refundable through your original method of payment, Aeromexico will honor your request immediately; response times will depend on your bank.

No Show, change name and change charges:

Depend on the exchange rate at the time of purchase.
For Domestic Flights, prices include taxes.
Fees for changes made to domestic routes: For flights booked after March 28, 2023, the fee is $1,000 MXN if you make the change from 0 to 7 days before your flight. A change made 8 or more days before the flight incurs a $700 MXN charge. For flights booked before March 28, 2023, the fee is $700 MXN.*
For International Flights, prices do not include taxes since they vary depending on the country where the purchase was made.
No show: if you fail to show up for some flight in your itinerary without advising Aeromexico prior to your flight’s departure, Aeromexico may cancel your booking for all remaining flights in your itinerary. Except for flights involving segments in Brazil routes.*
No show charges apply only to flights involving segments on Brazilian routes.
